What we do & don’t promote…

We try to look at potential promoted products and services through the eyes of a consumer or purchaser. We ask ourselves if these products or services would be something we would pay for. After all, if we don’t think it’s worth paying for ourselves, we’d better have a really viable reason to convince you to purchase it.

  • The majority of the products or services I promote I have paid for personally
  • Sometimes I promote products I have used personally without paying for. For example, I often link to products and books on Amazon, that either I or those who provide us trusted opinions, still feel comfortable recommending these via an affiliate link.
  • I also promote products I haven’t paid for if they have valuable free information attached to them. Online webinars or summits may be some of them. For example, the free event takes place online and is available to anyone who tunes in. Additional, related products are often offered for a fee which we may be compensated for, but my goal is for the free information to stand on its own.
  • Sometimes I will promote a product we are not currently paying customers for, but have been a paying customer in the past. We used and paid for a period of time. We are no longer using it, not because it’s a poor product but simply because motorcycling, camping and outdoor activity needs have changed.

Affiliate link or Referral links

Sprinkled throughout this blog/site, you’ll note references to my use of affiliate links or referral links. These references are called disclosures and are a requirement as put forth by the FTC here in the U.S.

They are there to inform you we have a relationship with a particular product or service. If you choose to purchase that product or service via our affiliate link, we will get a small commission. Of course, this is at no extra cost to you, but it does help burn our midnight oil to continue bringing you helpful content! We truly appreciate and thank you for your support in this way.

Amazon Disclosure

We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
